Wasteland Weekend - Post-Apocalyptic Mad Max Festival
Wasteland Weekend began in 2010 when three Mad Max fans organized a gathering in the Mojave Desert. Based heavily on the Mad Max films, the event freely incorporates other iconic pieces of post-apocalyptic pop culture. From humble beginnings of 300 people, the festival has since grown to over 5,000 participants. Attending is like living in a movie, complete with a colorful cast, unrelenting dust, and blazing sun. It's not for the faint of heart.
